Toddler Fathers Day Card: A simple homemade card, perfect for involving your toddler, even with a short attention span like Oliver! Ben loves it when Oliver makes him pictures & I found this gorgeous verse on-line that I thought would be perfect in a card, although I think I may frame it & hang it somewhere Ben gets the chance to read it....
Verse I typed the verse & printed it onto some paper although if you have time, patience & neat handwriting you could just write it
Walk a little slower, Daddy, said a child so small I’m following in your footsteps and I don’t want to fall Sometimes your steps are very fast; sometimes they’re hard to see; So walk a little slower, Daddy, for you are leading me...
Someday when I am all grown up, you’re what I want to be; Then I will have a little child, who will want to follow me And I would want to lead just right and know that I was true; So walk a little slower, Daddy, for I must follow you
Cut it into a heart shape Glue the heart onto a piece of paper with the footprints on
Footprints I painted blue paint onto Oliver's feet with a sponge one at a time and lifted him onto the paper Clean the foot & repeat with the other foot
Happy card making! Michelle X
