My baby girl is 8 months today: My baby girl is 8 months today & I feel it's time for celebration as Charlotte really is finally SO happy. We had a difficult start with reflux & a dairy allergy, as you have probably read in the blog it was a very testing time for us all but especially my darling daughter who was just desperately unhappy & very uncomfortable. We are still dairy free & have been recommended to remain so until Charlotte is one. The reflux has significantly calmed since Charlotte started sitting up, although she is still taking daily medication. Charlotte did have a bariam scan & luckily only reflux was detected so are just waiting for her to hopefully outgrow the reflux. Charlotte is now sitting up, trying to crawl although just currently shuffling backwards, clapping her hands & squawks along when we sing songs. Lottie is obsessed with her brother Oliver who can make her erupt with laughter just by jumping up & down, she loves our dog Oscar & is in complete awe of her Dadda & yes.... She spends ALL day saying it, Dadda, Dadda, Dadda!!! I could say SO much more but will let these pictures speak for themselves. I'm off for another giggly peekaboo game, Michelle X

Happy Birthday to my lovely Mummy Today is my mums Birthday, known to Florence as 'Jaja'. I have learnt over the years to appreciate her more and more, especially since having Florence. I am so lucky and thankful to have her here to help and love the relationship that mum and Florence share. I have fond memories growing up (apart from when I hit 14 and turned into a nightmare!!) Mum and Dad were very strict... well mum was, but we were always doing things outside and never short of fun activities. I must be the same age as Florence in the picture below. Mum grew up with 5 sisters... I KNOW! Here is a picture of her with her eldest sister Sarah. As a family we do lots together, I can only hope that my children want to do the same with me when they are all grown up! Mum and Dad have always known how to throw a good party, any excuse! Here is a photo of my grandma, mum, Florence and me. 4 generations! I was the first grandchild of the family and Florence was the first great grandchild. Florence loves her Jaja so much, mum was not ready to be called a 'Grandma' or a 'Nanny' so she ended up as Jaja and I now cannot imagine her being anything else! To another fun filled year, Happy birthday Lots of love

How to avoid the January 6th blues So today is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year-statistically it's because everyone goes back to work, but I'm sure the end of all the social activities has something to do with it. I for one have been looking forward to a little break! So here are a few ideas to keep you positive... Exercise - Any form of exercise is fine, I have been mixing it up a bit with lovely long walks along the beach or getting pumped at the gym. It really makes a difference to my mood so a great thing to do first thing in the morning. Watching a funny movie - Personally I love a good Disney or animated film like Shrek, Ice age or Tangled. It is amazing how films like this calm me down instantly and get me back up on my fluffy cloud! Perfect for some chill time with Florence aswell.... So glad she can watch a whole film now. Painting - You don't have to be an artist to paint! Florence loves getting the paints out and I you don't like the mess of acrylics then pop to your local craft shop and get some water paints. Literally no mess and you can get stuck in. We really enjoy colouring in-it's actually very therapeutic. The girls especially like painting their nails at the moment! Be spontaneous - Do something that you wouldn't normally do. Get out of the routine, see a friend, family member, do an activity... Anything that will make your day more interesting.
Listen to some music - Ok so me and Florence have a dance daily, she loves making moves around the house. We usually listen to my gym music which is really up beat. It certainly makes us smile and laugh a lot. Drink - Either peppermint tea or chamomile Eat - Something yummy, new and healthy.
Hope this helps your day be a little brighter! Daisy x
Good things in 2014 Happy New year everyone! Hope you have all recovered from the indulgences of December, I am now having a really healthy month - The thought of ever drinking again makes me want to jump under my duvet and hide. My Mum very kindly said she would have Florence so that me and Jon could go party... anyway, pretty less than fresh today! Florence and Oliver have done so many amazing things over 2013, it has been lovely to record everything we do in our blog so that we can share and look back at all the fun things we have got up to. 2014 is a very exciting year for ABEILLE, we will be launching the first products in our baby range, Oliver and Florence will have lots more milestones to reach, and little baby Charlotte will add a new concept to our blog. Michelle is going to have so much material, I might have to have another baby to keep up! (only joking.... not just yet!) Anyway... this year is going to be good! Someone showed me this great idea to save good thoughts. This is also a way to keep positive and realise that if you are having a bad day, there is usually something that will put a smile on your face. So with a bit of a fuzzy head... My first positive thought was that I am excited about the year ahead... I got a kilner jar, dressed it up with a bow and posted my first message. I am going to put things that Florence has done, Jon can post things also, and even friends and family. It will be great if I can remember to post something every day, what I plan to do is take them out at the end of this year, read them and then make a picture by sticking them on a big piece of card and framing it.
It is the small things that make us happy,
Lots of love Daisy x
